July 10-13 - La Fete de Marquette 2014

How do Madisonians celebrate Bastille Day? How else? With great music, great food and plenty of beer. The Fête de Marquette three-day music fest, now in Madison’s new Central Park, promises a line-up of international musical acts including groups from Quebec, New Orleans, Paris, Algeria and Haiti.

La Fete de Marquette, Madison’s marquee summertime spectacular on the isthmus is July 10th through the 13th and you must be there! Why?

  • To witness the heart-pounding, foot-stompin’ sounds of Raw Oyster Cult featuring HBO’s Treme star Jon Gros, legendary guitar wizard Anders Osborne and many more French and Louisiana-based artists!
  • Need another reason? Heartland Credit Union PRESENTS “Hooray for Heartland Happy Uour” on Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 when all beers and wine are just $2!
  • Reason three: fabulous food, colorful arts and crafts and, new this year, Mallatt’s Pharmacy presents the Big Top with scintillating electronic music all weekend AT the 2014 La Fete de Marquette Thursday through Sunday, July 10 to 13.
  • Reason four: free admission! It’s all there for you at Madison’ s new Central Park two blocks south off east wash on south Ingersoll . La Fete de Marquette is presented by the Willy Street Coop and sponsored in part by Don Miller Subaru, and the Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream –Madison made, family owned, super premium ice cream. ooo-la-la!

July 19 - Reverse Lottery At McKay Nursery

what: The Reverse Lottery to determing the winner of the $5000 McKay Makeover Competition!  Names of those invited will be pulled at random until we have one name left in the bucket and that person will be selected as the winner!  (Winner must be present to win)

August 14-17 - Sun Prairie Sweet Corn Festival

when: August 14-17th
where: Angell Park, near the intersection of Highway 19 and Highway N.
what: Join Heather Moore on Sunday, August 17th from 12p-2pm at Corn Fest in Sun Prairie. Come on down and eat corn, listen to the live music, and have an Ice cold beverage with family and friends.

November 2 - Annual Wisconsin Dog Fair

what: Obedience, Agility, Rally, Free style demonstrations; Parade of pure bred dogs; Parade of rescued dogs; Vendor booths; over 100 different breeds of pure bred dogs and much, much more!
