August 29th - Mini Brat Fest at Metcalfe's West Towne


When: Friday, August 29th, 7a-6p  Heather Moore will be there from 11a-1p
Where: Metcalfe's West Towne, 7455 Mineral Point Road
Details: Hearts for Healing Fundraiser Donation Hearts for “Slender Man” Victim Available at Metcalfe’s. In May, a 12-year-old girl was stabbed 19 times by two individuals and left in the woods in Waukesha. Remarkably, she survived. To help the young girl and her family with their mounting medical bills, purple donation hearts will be available at all checkouts thru August 29. For $1, $5 or $10, shoppers can show their support and leave words of encouragement. Hearts will be available at all three Metcalfe’s stores, leading up to a mini Brat Fest fundraising event on Friday, August 29 in the parking lot of Metcalfe’s West Towne.

Stop by and Heather can register you to win a pair of tickets to The 1975 at the Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee on Friday, November 7. We’ll also be playing giant Jenga for prizes.

September 1 - Schoepp Motors


When: Monday, September 1st (Labor Day)
Where: Schoepp Motors (Hwy 51 & Washington)
What: Join Mix 105.1’s Street Team and Riggs at Schoepp Motors for their Labor Day sale (Monday, September 1) from 3pm until 6pm for a chance to win a $50 Food Fight Restaurant Group gift card. We’ll also play giant Jenga for prizes and we’ll be serving Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream.

 

September 13 - 4th Annual Family Caregiver Resource Fair


When: Saturday, September 13th, 2014
Where: Warner Park Community Recreation Center (1625 Northport Dr.)
What: You’re not alone! Learn about the many services, resources and educational opportunities available in Dane County for people caring for an older and/or disabled family member. Thirty different agencies and businesses will be represented with no cost, no pressure information about numerous services and care options. Interactive workshops will zero in on some of the more pressing issues that caregivers face. Workshops will be offered 3 times each over the course of three hours so that you can get in multiple topics.

Topics to be covered include:
1) Medicare/Medicaid/Insurance Marketplace: What do you need to know?
2) Make your home safe and accessible
3) Create a care plan
4) How to choose senior housing
5) Legal issues you need to know about

October 9 - Bras For A Cause


When: Thursday, October 9th 5pm
Where: Madison Marriott West (1313 John Q Hammons Dr., Middleton, WI 53562)
What: This year the Madison Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors will be presenting their 4th Annual Bras for a Cause event at the Madison Marriott West. The Madison Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors is an organization which assists women in the community with leadership skills, professional development and business growth. Fish from 93.1 Jamz and Christine Bellport from NBC 15 will be the co-emcees for this years event. Last year Fish was a real hit and even wore a live gold fish bra. This year the pair will do all they can to help us meet our goal of $40,000 raise for Breast Cancer Recovery. Order your tickets now to be sure that you dont miss out on this dynamic duo! 'Like us' on Facebook at 4th Annual WCR Bras for a Cause! 4th Annual Bras for a Cause Bras for a Cause Madison 2013 Bras for a Cause Madison 2013 Bras for a Cause Madison 2013 This annual fund raiser consists of a light-hearted runway show of local men dressed in elaborately decorated bras, along with both live and silent auctions and of 50/50 raffle. While some of the dollars raised goes toward professional development of women in our community, the majority of the dollars raised goes toward Breast Cancer Recovery. Breast Cancer Recovery (BCR) is a local organization that helps Wisconsin women suffering from breast cancer attend retreats specifically tailored to assist them with coping with cancer treatment and its aftermath. Breast Cancer Recovery has continually been the major recipient of funds raised through this event. Members of this organization also serve as board and committee members for this the Madison Bras for a Cause event.
