A recent poll of married couples found that over 30% were let down by the way their significant other proposed. Many felt they would have liked it to be done at a more sentimental location with more romance or that it wasn't a good enough surprise. Others may have been okay with the proposal itself but it was the ring in the little black box that was a letdown. Between wanting a larger diamond or a different style cut or band there is plenty of room for disappointment. More than half also said that the act of going down on one knee isn't really needed during a proposal.
