There have been a lot of stories in the news lately about unlikely heroes. A 5 year old saved his mom’s life by calling the grandma and On star, when his mom passed out while pulled over on the side of the road. The paramedics were able to give medical aid to the mom, since the boy called On star for the police to their location. Another 6th grade student rescued his teacher after the teacher and other students were in a car accident with him. The teacher was stuck and even though the student was free he went back to help the teacher escape from the burning car.
Slacker thinks he is capable of heroism. He thinks both him and Steve have good hearts and instincts to save people in life threatening situations. He doesn’t think him or Steve would have been capable of saving the mom because they wouldn’t know how to use the cell phone at age five.
Steve says he was CPR certified but would never want to perform it in case of law suits. He thinks there are too many risks in trying to save someone’s life and you could do further damage rather than save their life.
