GMD - Starting Our Own Holiday Traditions

Yi!

Every tradition has to start somewhere...but where does it end? Alex and Victoria have a new house and a new baby and Victoria wants to start a new tradition and host Thanksgiving dinner with the parents at her house this year. In Alex’s family, it has been a tradition for the family to gather at his aunt's house every year...and if they don't go his family will be devastated.

Slacker says there are 364 other days in the year, why can’t she host a big gathering on any of those other days? Steve is teetering on both sides, but thinks that their baby is only 4 months old and is not going to know the difference.  They both agree that this is Aunt Claire’s thing and possibly what she lives for so maybe Victoria shouldn’t take it away from her.

Whose side are you on?

I’m all for traditions but clearly they always start somewhere.  A family is constantly growing and changing and that’s how new traditions come about.  I think that Victoria should have Thanksgiving at their new house, at least just for this year, and see how it goes.  I’m going to a completely new house this year and I’m stoked about it!

Toodles!

New Tradions
My name is Austin, and I am 17. I cook EVERY Thanks Giving. I believe I would be very sad if someone else cooked for Thanks Giving. My brother is the same way, he just moved and wants to host Thanks Giving at his house. I am fine with it, but part of thestipulation was that I get to come over and help cook.
