A man on the Ellen show was overcome with emotions during his proposal. He broke down sobbing while asking his girlfriend to marry him.
Slacker doesn’t think mentioning her beauty is a way to propose to a woman. He thinks he should have said something about her inner qualities and personality not on her physical beauty. Slacker says he cried a little in his proposal but didn’t completely break down crying. He thinks if neither of the people cries the marriage won’t last.
Steve got mad that the man was trembling and sobbing during the proposal. He was mad at the guy for making him embarrassed for the man proposing. He doesn’t think the man should be crying more than the woman getting proposed to. He says no woman wants to be proposed to by a mushy, blubbering, emotional man. He thinks the man wants the woman to cry during the proposal to show he did a good job. He thinks crying shows weakness even though he cried at the Justin Bieber movie.
Do you think it’s a turn off for the man to get emotional or is it sweet? Did your husband cry while proposing?
I think it’s fine if the guy tears up a little but I probably wouldn’t accept the proposal if the man broke down sobbing. Women are the sensitive ones who need the shoulder to cry on not men.
